Individual Municipal Tax Returns

The Village of Cuyahoga Heights contracts with the Regional Income Tax Agency to administer our municipal income tax. The municipal tax rate for the year 2020 is 2.5%. If you are a business or a new resident to the Village, you can contact the Regional Income Tax Agency at 800-860-7482 to complete a registration form.

Individual municipal tax returns are due on April 15. You now have the ability to E-file your tax return at RITA’s website. If you have questions, please call the Regional Income Tax Agency toll-free at 800-860-7482.

Angel Meriwether Biography

Angel Meriwether was appointed Chief Fiscal Officer on January 1, 2018. Angel has been in the village’s finance department for eight years as both Payroll (six years) and Assist Clerk/Treasurer (two years). Before joining the Village of Cuyahoga Heights Finance Department in 2010 she had ten years of private sector accounting experience including six years of overseeing financial operations.

Angel is a third generation resident of the Village of Cuyahoga Heights, a graduate of Cuyahoga Heights High School, a graduate of David N. Myers College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in Accounting, and has received a Certificate in Public Financial Management from Georgia State University.

Angel is a member of numerous local government organizations including the GFOA, MFO, and OGFOA. Additionally, she has numerous charity organizations she has been involved in including the Cuyahoga Heights Schools PTO as Treasurer and Vice President for four years, Comics for Kids, benefiting University Hospital’s Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital for nine years, LoveforB annual benefit for four years, Girls Scout leader for six years.
